Terms & Conditions
Upon request of service, Word Portrait will provide a contract for approval before commencement of any work. This will include negotiated details such as respective deadlines (eg: drafts, submission of photos) and project timeline.
A 25 per cent deposit is required prior to commencing work, with further progress payments documented in the written contract.
The client will receive a first draft of the Word Portrait and Interview Transcript, along with two rounds of revisions. In the unlikely event they are dissatisfied with the final copy and wish not to proceed, they will agree to pay for all work completed to date.
Word Portrait endeavours to provide a complete and accurate service for every project but cannot guarantee a 100 per cent error-free document. It is the client’s responsibility to review and sign-off on all final material before printing.
All accounts are strictly seven (7) days. Deposits are to be paid before the commencement of any work. Final payment is due within seven (7) days of project completion.
Word Portrait will not be held accountable for any liabilities incurred in relation to a client’s content or subject matter, or any losses arising from using our service.
Word Portrait reserves the right to decline projects involving material that is deemed obscene, defamatory or otherwise offensive.
All correspondence and documents between Word Portrait and clients will be treated as confidential, unless consent has been granted by both parties.
Word Portrait reserves the right to upload a client’s completed project to our website (password protection upon request).
Word Portrait reserves the right to use a client’s completed project (and elements contained within) for promotional purposes (unless requested otherwise).
A Word Portrait or any portion thereof may not be reproduced by other publishers and/or media outlets without the permission of Word Portrait.
